Teaching & Editing
I have taught first year composition, first year studies, literature surveys, and poetry workshops in a variety of settings, including Valparaiso University, the University of Montana, the University of Tennessee, and in community programs. For my work, I have been recognized with several nominations for teaching prizes as well as the 2013 Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Montana.
To learn a bit more about my teaching approach, check out my course site for English 102 at the University of Tennessee, a first year composition course on the theme of American Identity. To see my CV with a more thorough list of my teaching experience, go here.
I am an experienced editor willing to edit and proofread your work. I work primarily online via e-mail or video chatting calls, and I can start working with you at any point in the process: from starting new writing projects to commenting on already drafted pieces.
I'd be happy to proofread, comment, or give line edits on creative pieces, scholarly projects, or on other materials such as resumes or school or scholarship applications. To discuss my rates, use the link below to e-mail me with a description of your project.
